SLED is not fully open source. (Even if I don't have the slightest problem with the inclusion of proprietary packages, I'd still like to have a full list of the installed proprietary programs) |

One thing I really wonder about. I really, really love their new menu approach. It's a separate application that looks really nice. Is it open? I'd just love to use that in ubuntu. If it's non-free then I'd be willing to re-implement it as free software. Anyone have any idea about the SLED 10 menu and it's status? |

I'd love to see Ubuntu fix their installer :D |

The SLED menu is available for Ubuntu. Can't remember where to find it, tho. But it sure as hell is out there. |

"SLED Menu For Ubuntu (Uslab) Now In Repo" http://angelicpenguins.blogspot.com/2006/07/sled-menu-for-ub... EDIT: Don't know why but that link has a space between "now-in-r" and "epo_14.html". That would be incorrect. Editing the link doesn't help. So when you get the 404, just delete that space. |
