Thank you Gary Edwards, for an understandable summary of the key issues here. The BS has been flying around so thickly the core issues have been obscured, which of course is the intent. But it really isn't that complicated, is it- a genuinely open standard vs. Microsoft's usual tricksiness to reinforce lock-in. |

tc - I think you are being unfair and unappreciative of those hard-working Redmondites. They have provided us with a wide-open format. It says so right in the name. RIGHT IN THE NAME! What could be better than that? |
