What's the old saying? "Rome wasn't built in a day?"

Hey look --

I'm glad to see any part of any major software ported over to Linux.

Frankly, it makes sense to start out with the obvious. Linux is a strong server platform. Server side is a good place to get your feet wet and build your chops.

We can't forget that Linux got its enterprise start doing a log of humble jobs. Heck, many Linux boxes were "stealth" machines running Samba and pretending to be Windows servers because IT budgets weren't matching calls for capacity. Once in, however...

I'll second that.I'm signed up with Intuit to get their Linux offering for QB.My problem now is building a server that will handle it.I have a file server and two desktops running Open Suse 10.2 for most of the work, but we still have two machines running Win 2K for QB.It would really help things along being able to have a Linux server taking care of everything.
