I hadn't realized the madwifi/hostapd setup was so powerful.
Now I want one.... lol |

Smart people who own the Linux Networking Cookbook know all about it, sheesh. ;) The Madwifi/hostapd combination works great, I've been making homegrown WAPs with it for a long time with Pyramid Linux and Voyage Linux. Zeroshell is really nice, this is a good addition to it. |

Non-celebrity testimonial: The Linux Networking Cookbook is the best Networking Cookbook I have ever used. Good stuff for Samba, security, routers, etc. No desserts, though. |

Quoting:Smart people who own the Linux Networking Cookbook know all about it, sheesh. Uhm, I own it, but I haven't read that particular chapter. Is 'having read it' also a prerequisite? |

Hans : No. That's actually the best thing about the book. It's not a book for reading so much as it is a book for using. So -- Ask the quesiton :"Hey? Wonder if I could use Linux to set up a Linux Wireless Access Point? Maybe it's in the cookbook." |

Aw, I'm blushing. I think it's pretty good too :) |
