If you want a working system- don't do what this article says. It's incoherent and wrong.

I'm trying to tell you that despite my personal "quit whining about Hartley all the time because it's annoying and anyway, everyone already knows" policy, some things are too egregious to let pass :)

As opposed to my "quit reading Hartley because it's annoying and anyway, everyone already knows" policy.

While we're talking about what's funny.

My boss has had two bouts of the cold/flu that's going around, I've not had any, inspite of the fact that we work in the same office.

I put it down to the fact that he's a Windows user, while I use Linux.

I notice on thing, his instructions are only good on distro's that have busybox handed the interfaces. /etc/network/interfaces is a busybox thing. Not just held to debian and derived. You can get it working that way in Gentoo as well if you want and have the knowledge to map the commands properly to busybox.
