Well, I've tried both, and on Slackware VMware seems to work better (at least for me). This is Server 1.6. I haven't tried upgrading to 2.0 yet. I couldn't even get the Virtual Box to boot from floppy or DVD. I always had to boot from an iso file. When you add in the lack of USB support in the OSE version, I decided to stick with VMware. |

My headless VMs are running in qemu.
I had nothing but trouble with VMware when I was using it.
It had a nasty tendency to break when I updated the machine and be pretty much unfixable. For plain old emulation on the desktop, I either use qemu or VirtualBox. I haven't tried VirtualBox in headless mode yet.... |
