They're using it in the same way some OEM's use FreeDOS: If you read between the lines they encourage people to install Mac OS X themselves. In the same way FreeDOS is used by companies to let their customers install Windows themselves. |

So, the hardware is still guaranteed to work with Linux. No one has to install OSX on it. |
