dinotrac Jun 03, 2010 9:59 AM EDT |
Hans -- Hydrogen does songs? Although -- I'm sure many a drummer has wondered why anybody listens to those "other" instruments. |
tuxchick Jun 03, 2010 10:21 AM EDT |
oh dino, don't tell me you've never done Morse Code Karaoke lyrics in Hydrogen.... |

Congrats Caitlyn you have made it half way to being old. |
azerthoth Jun 04, 2010 2:40 AM EDT |
hoooray for caitlyn too ah to be in my 30's again ... hmm no, I worked way too hard that decade. |
Sander_Marechal Jun 04, 2010 4:35 AM EDT |
Yes, congratulations to Caitlyn too :-)Quoting:Buncha old people... ;) Look who's talking. I'm only 30. |
dinotrac Jun 04, 2010 5:37 AM EDT |
Caitlyn - 50 ain't bad. 51 will kill you. After that, it's all downhill and miserable. Happy birthday! Enjoy! Sander -- Go to your room and do your homework, young man. |
caitlyn Jun 04, 2010 10:10 AM EDT |
Quoting:Enjoy the birthday treats, like a scrumptious chocolate cake. Yeah... I had one of those too. The only depressing part is receiving an offer to join AARP in the mail. |
gus3 Jun 04, 2010 12:43 PM EDT |
Quoting:The only depressing part is receiving an offer to join AARP in the mail. It's actually very considerate of them to provide tinder for the cookout. ;-) |
cybergal Jun 04, 2010 1:27 PM EDT |
caitlyn, 50 isn't so bad, either! |
dinotrac Jun 04, 2010 2:11 PM EDT |
gus3 -- Yup. I've gotten about a bonfire's worth of them over the years. Toss em because I never trust anything that rhymes with carp, Garp, sharp, or tarp. Could be trouble if I go to Heaven. |
theboomboomcars Jun 04, 2010 4:36 PM EDT |
Quoting:The only depressing part is receiving an offer to join AARP in the mail. I haven't broken 30 yet and I get them in the mail. If only I could retire. I still have quite a bit of savings to do first though. |
Bob_Robertson Jun 04, 2010 6:09 PM EDT |
> If only I could retire. I still have quite a bit of savings to do first though. What is this? Fiscal responsibility? Forward planning? Self reliance? I think I'm in love. |
tuxchick Jun 04, 2010 7:33 PM EDT |
Hey I have savings! I have classic underground comic books saved, and a stack of yogurt tubs, and a pile of salvaged bricks, and coffee cans full of useful fastener thingies, and piles of still-good-for-something lumber, and all kinds of stuff! And a bucket full of old motor oil that needs a loving home. |
montezuma Jun 04, 2010 7:43 PM EDT |
Good one Scott. Have a beer for me mate. |
Scott_Ruecker Jun 04, 2010 10:19 PM EDT |
Tonight my band is playing out at a club in Tempe, think I might have a drink or two to honor all of your good wishes towards me..;-) |
hkwint Jun 05, 2010 7:12 AM EDT |
Excellent idea Scott! |
Bob_Robertson Jun 05, 2010 10:33 AM EDT |
So Sheriff Arpaio allows drinking in his kingdom? |
Scott_Ruecker Jun 05, 2010 11:55 AM EDT |
Har Har Bob..he better cause I did..:-) |
Bob_Robertson Jun 05, 2010 12:14 PM EDT |
Well, the stories we hear, one can never tell which intoxicants are allowed or disallowed at any given time. |
techiem2 Jun 05, 2010 12:43 PM EDT |
Quoting:The only depressing part is receiving an offer to join AARP in the mail. LOL I've been getting mailings/emailings from AARP for YEARs due to being on Medicare for a while post-transplant (yes, apparently they don't bother verifying ages, if you have been on MediCare you obviously MUST be a senior). |
caitlyn Jun 05, 2010 2:11 PM EDT |
Quoting:they don't bother verifying ages, if you have been on MediCare you obviously MUST be a senior) LOL. I honestly don't consider 50 senior (more like middle aged) and I am most definitely not a "retired person". Hey, more members equates to more money for them so being abit liberal in their definitions and not checking too closely benefits the organization. Scott: Sorry, didn't mean to hijack your birthday thread. |
Scott_Ruecker Jun 05, 2010 2:18 PM EDT |
Actually Caitlyn I think its great, good conversation is good conversation..it doesn't matter how it starts..;-) |
Scott_Ruecker Jun 06, 2010 2:47 PM EDT |
Sorry for the self promotion but if your interested to see and/or hear what my band sounds like go to http://www.curiumband.com and then go to http://www.curiumband.com/leer_moving.htm I am curious to hear what LXer's think of my musical moxy. Am I breaking my own TOS? ;-) |
gus3 Jun 06, 2010 3:54 PM EDT |
Not to worry, Scott. TC made sure to break the TOS with her very first comment. |
Sander_Marechal Jun 06, 2010 4:16 PM EDT |
It sounds great, Scott! And in comparison to most bands you guys actually have a singer that sounds good. Kudos! |
