Now how should I address you since you are so offended by my mnemonic, which is just my method to remember you Tootsie. So why are you so bent out of shape? The additive which lead to a LOO shows you have a sense of humor. Now on to serious topic at hand, it's the facts you screw up. Quoting:No company ever survived after being kissed by MS. Not True! It's what comes after the Kiss that kills them dead. See? YBT |

Ahhh, yes. Think Different. Don't they foist the same garbage office suite on their users as that other OS? |

Quoting:since you are so offended by my mnemonic Not at all, I have "thick hide" and I can take a silly joke, Opps, I mean a funny joke. And you too has to mangle with the facts hah! The checks must be coming on time it seems. Let me describe to you how the process goes. Courting is initiated at happy hour. Dinner comes right after with fine wine and spirits. Then comes the passionate kiss that delivers the pouch that carries the secret recipe to bleed the body internally. So you see, if it wasn't for the kiss, no venom would be delivered. |

Quoting:A lovely little fruit company called, ahem, AppleI think apple is here only so that MS could point to them and say "see we are not a monopoly." |

Quoting:I think apple is here only so that MS could point to them and say... That was then, Apple is worth more than Microsoft now. $200 billion vs. $197 billion. http://www.businessinsider.com/apple-worth-more-than-microso... |

RE: Deadly Microsoft Kisses Apple only got a wet smack on the cheek, mainly due to timing. In one case a cover up of a losing legal battle where MS generously dispensed some cash and a few favors that allowed MS to appear beneficent when its arm was bent out of shape by legal exigencies. The other case too had timing issues, has everyone forgotten the antitrust case? So the rapacious finale was not in the cards where MS could ill afford to bury one more competitor when legal hell was at hand. See memory holes exist, YBT P.S. Too bad he was asleep, he would have understood immediately. LXers are dense [and / or have pure minds.] Doubt that, but if so what am I doing here?! |

@Txt - Apple got a pretty darned good kiss. First, Microsoft developed Excel for the Mac -- before there was such a thing for Windows. They also did the the whole office suite. Microsoft Office itself started out, in effect, a port to Windows of a Mac application. Kinda sorta, at least. Then there was the little matter of investing bunches of bucks, committing to continued Mac Development, and Billy the G himself showing up (on the big screen, at least) at MacWorld Expo while Steve Jobs and the All Apple Kazoo Band played a Reggae/Bluegrass fusion version of the old Sinatra hit, Strangers in the Night. Sure, the kiss was motivated by that little difficulty with the Feds, but a kiss it was. |
