Quoting:Vobile technology was not at the root of the problem. Our content identification system provides customers with accurate information. Yeah, right. Fully automated robots doing a heuristic analysis of a visual stream - accurate? Bahaha. |

Actually, the robots did exactly what they were programed to do -- quelle surprise (not), which is exactly what they were supposed to do (cover legal rears regarding copyright law and DMCA takedown notices), and now the robots take the blame for the mess that inevitably occurs, when attempting to apply simplistic mechanical rules to complex legal/social phenomena. We've seen this over and over again -- and it ain't over yet. Just another sign of how insane the system is -- they keep doing the same thing aover and over, but expecting different results. Or so they claim... |

I'm reminded of the Big Presentation scene from "Robocop", with the robot doing its job all too well. Pretty much sums it up. |
