5:28 PM EST 		thank you! I read this article last Friday and decided to give gentoo a shot. Now I sit here posting from my speedy little Vaio laptop running gentoo and gnome, having learned more about linux in the last 4 days than I have in the last 4 years.

This distro is without a doubt one of the best learning tools I have used!

5:32 PM EST 		!! I'm glad it's working out for you. It certainly is a fun and solid distro, my favorite. :) Reminds me of the old Slackware days, and it makes me feel like I should have a long gray beard. :-)
