Here's a bit of positivity for you today! According to the statistics gathered by the netmarketshare website, in July the percentage of people using Linux on the desktop hit an all time high.

Landing in the public Mesa-git mailing list within the last few minutes, more games have been added to the whitelist to make use of threaded OpenGL for better performance.

Another day, another journalist claiming that Valve is killing SteamOS (amongst other things mentioned) and it couldn't be further from the truth. I'm going to be pretty blunt in this one, because it needs to be.

Rusted Warfare, a 2D RTS that reminds me of Total Annihilation & Red Alert is now on Linux

Feral Interactive have just announced some exciting news! The Linux port of Dawn of War III will come with OpenGL as the default, but like with Mad Max you will be able to check a box to enable Vulkan!

Wine 2.9 is now officially available and it's a very interesting one. Fantastic work from the Wine developers. The Witcher 3 runs better on Linux now.
