SelekTOR 3 now Open Source
If you have been following my blog or the SelekTOR news posts here at Dazzleships you will know that I intended to take SelekTOR open source under the GPL 2 license and also discontinue the Windows version well I can now report that this has come to pass.
SelekTOR 3.02 Released, Linux version available for free.
Existing SelekTOR 2.xx for Linux users should consider upgrading to version 3.02 for a much improved experience and well its free so what have you got to lose doesn’t everyone love free stuff :)

The latest release of SelekTOR is now available for download, apart from the usual bug fixes its also had a license change. SelekTOR is now open source under the GPL 2 license, and as a result all the source code has been made available for download as well.

Well the big news with this version is that SelekTOR For Windows like the Linux version is now free (as in cost), and that both versions can be used in conjunction with Torbutton add-on for Firefox. For those that don’t know what SelekTOR does see here for more information. I will be updating the instructions on the website to include how to install and configure TorButton to work with SelekTOR very soon but for now here is a quick guide.
