Money gets spent censoring/deplatforming people who speak about real issues; no money gets spent actually tackling those underlying issues, as they might result in criminal liability and bad press. This censorious mindset goes against the fundamentals of Free software, but some people have plenty to hide.

The first occurrence of GNU/Linux was owing to my older colleague and it happened here in Manchester, not in Finland or in Portland (Oregon). That's just the real history!

This past Friday at 4PM the Microsofters were leaking out the trial information to Microsoft, which pays for the SLAPPs through salaries (the serial strangler from Microsoft) because there's a crisis at the company and there's incriminating stuff they wish to hide.

If 2,000 of those ~6,000 are just in Redmond, how much does that leave for almost 50 other states, including California, where many Microsoft operations are based (Microsoft, LinkedIn, GitHub etc. aren't based in one city in Washington)?

The Gerstnerisation of Microsoft: Seventh Wave of Microsoft Layoffs (Over 20,000 to be Cut) Allegedly Going to Start Shortly, Probably Start of Next Week, Microsoft Spreads Chaff and Noise Before the

Seventh in 2025 alone! For those who don't know, Lou Gerstner accepted that IBM was unsustainable as a business and fired an unprecedented (truly huge) number of staff. For this he became either admired or reviled at IBM (depending on which side of the axes one fell). He sure left "his mark" (or stain).

What Happened to the Open Source Initiative (OSI) Elections: The Purge, the Cover-up, and the Witch-hunts

We do not believe the OSI can recover from this. It might be replaced, as the need will arise for licence enforcers that aren't compromised (bribed) by the biggest licence violator (Microsoft). ?

Maybe one day RMS will be more vocal in criticism or condemnation of systemd, nowadays exceedingly led by and hosted by Microsoft. Microsoft's vision of "Linux" is just something that it controls (i.e. it controls users) via Azure or similar spyware. It already integrates it with TPMs and other terrible things via systemd.

The only way Microsoft can survive rivalry is to sabotage the rival under the false guise of "security" or "secure boot" (it's not about security; it's about not allowing PCs to boot without Microsoft's approval) or by hijacking the rivals via GitHub (then throwing all the code into a plagiarism blender that takes away the licence). Those are the real issues.
