Now Microsoft is enforcing its patent for a long filename version of the FAT (file allocation table) version of its disk data format. Microsoft wants the Linux folks to stop using it. The company might opt for a license, but, golly, because of the GPL, it can't without getting itself into trouble. So stop using it!
