Also a member of the ADA Initiative Board, Defensive Patent License Board, and the Open Source Ecology Board, she got her start as a technologist from a combination of backgrounds: informatics and library science.

Back in March, I was in the market for a new laptop, and like many Linux-educated professionals I felt tempted to purchase one of the lighter Apple laptops on the market back then (including the recently-announced Macbook). Waving the open source flag in Austrailia
Aimee Maree Forsstrom is an early open source advocate, who has worked in IT since 2000 building new code management practices for government and enterprise. Forsstrom is a current board member of OSIA (Open Source Industry Australia).
