In this tutorial I want to focus on how to change the Apache server name to whatever you want, so you can give your own name or sentence to Apache server headers that are sent to whois programs or websites, for example you can type "YTS", "GWS" or "Microsoft-IIS/7.0" to misguide the hacker to guess which Linux OS or which version of Apache you are using.

The History of the Sugar User Interface

Much of the early development of Sugar took place in the MIT Media Lab. We began in the spring of 2006, in parallel with the work of the teams responsible for developing other aspects of the XO laptop’s software, including device drivers, power management, and security. One might ask how OLPC was able to create an entirely new learning platform from whole cloth, and do so with almost no investment in software engineering. The short answer is that they didn’t. OLPC solved the problem of how to develop the Sugar software with limited resources by attracting external resources—not creating them from scratch—while articulating clearly defined objectives. OLPC built upon decades of research into how to engineer software to promote learning and amplified OLPC’s staff resources by leveraging key partnerships within the Free Software movement.

FreeNAS to Ubuntu: Torrent Server

If you're coming from FreeNAS 7 to Ubuntu, you remember the very handy torrent server that was built in. Well we can exactly replicate that with Transmission's and its WebGUI. A torrent server provides you a great way to download torrents directly to your server. It also allows you to constantly seed torrents, even when your main computers are off. I use this to host copies of OS's (such as Ubuntu!) so other people can download them faster.
