K9Copy is a DVD ripper for KDE. The last version for KDE3 is 1.2.3 and you can install it from the debian-multimedia.org repositories. A version for KDE4 is also available for download on the official website.
To install K9Copy in Debian Lenny, first add the debian-multimedia.org repositories to your /etc/apt/sources.list file:
deb [HYPERLINK@www.debian-multimedia.org] lenny main
Run apt-get update as root and install it:
apt-get install k9copy
K9Copy 1.2.3
K9Copy offers many codecs to use for ripping your DVDs, like Xvid, x264, WMV 7, WMV 8, RealVideo and several more. It also allows you to set the size for the output video, for example you can select to rip a DVD on two files with around 700 MB each.

Several other DVD ripping tools are available for Linux, so you can also try dvd::rip (package dvdrip), acidrip, or thoggen, which will rip DVDs to Theora video. dvdrip and acidrip are available in the debian-multimedia.org repositories, while thoggen is in the official repositories. They are all built using GTK.
