The team behind the Puppy Linux project has released the first maintenance release of Puppy Linux 4.2, version 4.2.1. Puppy Linux provides a very small, yet complete Linux desktop, with a lot of useful applications, many supported hardware devices and a pleasant user interface.

Puppy Linux 4.2.1 features an improved Abiword 2.6.3, with better handling of .doc & .docx Microsoft Word file formats. Pcrypt was updated to the May 17, 2009 release & now needs Ccrypt 1.7 instead of Bcrypt to run. Full Story |
