It's a pity Luca Barbieri or any Mesa / Gallium3D developers are not at Oktoberfest as they are deserving of more than a few Maß of Augustiner. It's a state tracker that exposes Microsoft's DirectX 10/11 API on Linux! And it's already working and can be hooked into Wine!

There are more interesting things that can be done with Linux implementation of DirectX than hooking it into Wine - like porting all those DirectX games natively to Linux. One major hurdle less, at least.
This information effectively changes nothing. Until I see my DX10/11 games running at close the same performance they see in Windows under Wine or until I see a native port of them - this is useless.

Jeff, that's a piss-poor attitude to have.
He doesn't want encouraging news, he wants what's coming to him, on a silver platter, right now!
