Even though Nasdaq was fully aware that its trading systems would be bombarded by the Facebook IPO on Friday, it turned out the systems had trouble handling the volume, leaving Nasdaq embarrassed and Facebook with a disastrous first day, and proving once again the need for worst-case pre-launch testing.
