Nokia buys majority stake in Symbian
A deal that's been in the offing for at least a year has now become reality in the wireless device world. Finland-based Nokia, the world's largest maker of cell phones, Monday agreed to acquire Psion's 31.1 percent ownership of Symbian, which makes the "smartphone" operating system most Nokia cell phones use.
