Canonical is looking to befriend the Android developers by becoming the development platform of choice. In this regard, the Ubuntu developers have implemented a simple way of getting the latest Android Studio (beta) and Android SDK, with all the required dependencies.

Canonical is developing its own operating system for mobile phones and it's going to be officially released on a few handsets this fall. Any kind of launch for a mobile OS has to be accompanied by a generous app store, but it's hard to convince people to port or develop applications that will run on it. Full Story |
