After introducing Unity, HUD, Mir, Click and Snappy the sponsor of Ubuntu is now contemplating moving away from just .deb based desktop and adopting its own Snappy.

It's well known fact that packages starting from Qemu-kvm,Xen Hypervisor,Libvirt, Spice-Server and so on and finishing with the recent versions of seabios are just back ported from Debian Unstable Repos been originally built and tested @Debian by professional Debian developers. Then several ubuntu specific patches got applied to particular debian build and package goes to Main or Universe of new LTS or non-LTS Ubuntu release. I can remind that Qemu-kvm for Ubuntu Precise 12.04 LTS was built @Ubuntu with Spice producing black screen, by well known reason.
