Kid3 is an audio tag editor for KDE with support for editing tags in files such as MP3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, MPC, MP4/AAC, MP2, Speex, TrueAudio, WavPack, WMA, AIFF and WAV.

Kid3 is an audio tag editor for KDE with support for editing tags in files such as MP3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, MPC, MP4/AAC, MP2, Speex, TrueAudio, WavPack, WMA, AIFF and WAV. The latest version, 3.3.0, brings some new features, including support for lyrics.wikia.com, chapter and table of contents audiobook frames, and a new ‘defaults’ button in the Settings window.

Kid3 has features such as multi-tags editing, the ability to generate tags from filenames, generate filenames based on contents of tags, importing of tags from services like MusicBrainz or freedb2.org.

In addition to the new features, this version benefits from a few fixed bugs, like the ability to now remove id3v1 genre tag or a build fix.

Install Kid3 3.3.0 in Ubuntu 14.04/15.x and Mint 17.x
There is a PPA available for Kid3, and to install it use the following commands in a terminal (there are packages available for both KDE and Qt only, install only the one you want):
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ufleisch/kid3
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install kid3 # KDE users
sudo apt-get install kid3-qt # without KDE dependencies
sudo apt-get install kid3-cli # for the command-line interface
