GNOME 48 RC Adds Dynamic Triple Buffering, Wayland Color Management Protocol

The GNOME Project announced today the Release Candidate (RC) development milestone of the upcoming GNOME 48 desktop environment series ahead of the final release on March 19th, 2025.

GNOME 48 Release Candidate (RC) is packed with lots of goodies compared to the Beta and Alpha versions, including Wayland color management protocol support in the Mutter window and composite manager, which also received support for activating the Activities Overview with either Super key, as well as for centering new windows by default.
