EasyOS is a unique Linux distribution and there is a lot of online documentation; however, seeing the features demonstrated, in simple small steps, may be very helpful. Hence we have started this video series. The first has been uploaded.

EasyOS adheres to the Unix philosophy of "do one thing and do it well", which is why we do not use systemd; instead EasyOS uses busybox init, with pup_event service management. We also look to simplify wherever possible, which is why EasyOS does not have policykit, pam or avahi -- apart from that, the differences from all other Linux distributions goes on and on.

Another example is Easy Containers, container mechanism highly integrated into the operating system.

EasyOS has positioned itself as supporting "legacy" software architectures, including Xlibre instead of X11 and gtk2-ng instead of the usual gtk2. Also ongoing support for gtk2-based applications.

You can read about the features at easyos.org; however, we would like to show the features in a very easy-to-digest form, hence the start of this video series.
