With the release of Firefox 155 rolling out to all supported platforms, Mozilla promoted the next major release, Firefox 156, to the beta channel for public testing, so it’s time to take a look at the new features and improvements.

Firefox 156 promises to improve memory and CPU usage when displaying large JPEG images that are scaled down to fit a page, improve dragging of inline images to a new position in a rich-text editor, replacing it with a long line of text instead of moving it, and improve high-sample-rate FLAC audio in MP4 playback.
