Mozilla Firefox 158 Enters Public Beta Testing with Better PDF Handling

With the release of Firefox 157 rolling out to all supported platforms, Mozilla promoted the next major release, Firefox 158, to the beta channel for public testing, so it’s time to take a look at the new features and improvements.

Firefox 158 looks like yet another small update that promises better PDF handling with support for SkPDF, a PDF-generation backend for Skia, for PDF generation when saving as PDF and also printing on Linux and macOS systems, allowing PDFs to be more accessible and also addressing various PDF rendering issues.
