Canonical’s next major Ubuntu release, Ubuntu 27.04, has been dubbed the “Tenacious T-Rex,” and it now has a release schedule with a release date set in stone for April 22nd, 2027.
Ubuntu 27.04 “Tenacious T-Rex” will be Canonical’s 46th Ubuntu release, and it’s an interim one that will be supported with software and security updates for only nine months, until January 2028, targeting bleeding-edge Ubuntu users who are willing to trade Ubuntu LTS’s stability for the latest technologies.
