The Fedora Asahi SIG and Asahi Linux projects announced the general availability of Fedora Asahi Remix 45 as the latest version of this distribution developed for Apple Silicon Macs.
Based on the recently released Fedora Linux 45 release, Fedora Asahi Remix 45 ships with the Wayland-only KDE Plasma 6.8 desktop environment by default and introduces out-of-the-box initial support for Apple M3, Apple M3 Pro, and Apple M3 Max machines.
A GNOME variant is also available, featuring the latest GNOME 51 desktop environment, along with a Fedora Server variant for server workloads and other types of headless deployments, and a Minimal image for users who wish to build their own experience from the ground up.
