NVIDIA released the NVIDIA 620 series of graphics drivers for Linux, FreeBSD, and Solaris systems, with new features, improvements, and the usual bug fixes.

NVIDIA 620.70.06 focuses on improving Wayland support with OpenGL visual indicator support for all Vulkan backends, including Wayland and direct-to-display, and better performance of explicit synchronization in high-framerate benchmarks on Wayland.

It also fixes corruption and flickering seen with Vulkan apps under Wayland when using the VK_ENABLE_DEVICE_GROUPS variable on multi-GPU systems, and intermittent crashes in the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth video game with the VKD3D_CONFIG=descriptor_heap option.
