Time to register for Ohio LinuxFest! The Greater Columbus Convention Center has been secured for the event. Reminder: Speaker registration has been extended to August 15, 2005. If you live in or near Ohio (Kentucky, Indiana, Pennsylvania, West Virginia), you should consider going to the event. Even organizers are asking that you forward this announcement to your LUG members and friends.

Good news, Ohio Linux Fest has secured a venue large enough (we hope) for this years event. There will be booth space for .orgs this year. If you're interested, please send email to team@ohiolinux.org

Sign up for the event at http://www.ohiolinux.org/register.html, and please tell your fellow LUG members and MidWest Linux enthusiasts. The planning for this years fest has been more complex, as the event continues to grow.

If it's anything like last year, the time (one Saturday) will be well worth it.

Last years' event was a blast. Jon "MadDog" Hall showed up, along with another 300 plus community members. The topics were all over the map, from Internet telephony products to Apache. The date is scheduled for October 1st, so don't delay, it's less than 2 short months away!

Midwest LUG members Unite! If you're not in Ohio, don't be shy. People from Canada, Pennsyvania, Indiana, Michigan and Kentucky showed up at last years event -- the door is open to LUG members and Linux enthusiasts -- register today for Ohio LinuxFest!

Paul Ferris has been covering various aspects of the Linux revolution for over 6 years, and shilling for Ohio LinuxFest for at least the past two years. FeriCyde Chat is an LXer.com feature.
