Monarch Computer's Stalwart Hornet Pro(R) Gets an Upgraded Fashion Sense

[I checked their custom configuration page and you really can select Fedora or Ubuntu. The bad news is, either will cost $90, about $5 less than that closed, legacy system from whats-its-name. -- grouch]

ATLANTA, June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Monarch Computer(TM) today announced a line of systems geared toward the female gamer. Under their award-winning Hornet Pro line, an exclusive to Monarch, they have added a Pink Camouflage wrap to give their system a more feminine style which women can surely appreciate. This is a rarity in an industry that seems to gear products toward the male population. Many have recently noticed that gaming amongst girls and women has been on the increase. In a recent survey done, 65% of women in the age group of 25 to 34 say they play electronic games, as compared to only 35% of men in the same age group (Source: Consumer Electronics Association). In addition to this new skin for the Hornet Pro, Monarch Computer also introduced skins with a more traditional and patriotic theme. These new skins are Desert Camouflage and Woodlands Camouflage. These new skins not only show a sense of style, but also show support for American troops. If camo isn't your style and you don't see an existing color or skin that you like, you can now request a custom skin directly from Monarch's Hive(TM) website (http://www.monarchcomputer.com/hive). These new custom wraps give even more customization which is only available to Monarch Computer customers.

In addition to the new Camouflage skins, the Monarch Hornet Pro is already available in the original brushed aluminum anodized in Black, Indigo, and Silver, custom automotive-quality paints in Ferrari Red and Sublime Green, and the limited run EVGA(R) Revenge skin. There is also still some availability on the limited edition autographed Gwinnett Gladiators(TM) skin for you ECHL(TM) hockey fans.

"If you want a computer that is an expression of who you are but you don't have the time or experience to create a completely modded box, then you'll want a Hornet Pro," said Will Herndon, Monarch Computer's Marketing Manager. "You can go Intel or AMD, you can go SLI, you can go inexpensive or completely insane, and now you can go with completely customized skins, all you gotta do is tell us what you want and we'll do it."

Monarch Computer's Hornet Pro is available with either an AMD or Intel processor along with Microsoft Windows XP and Linux operating systems. Custom configuration on their website allows users to choose the exact system they want; this being said, a standard system for $700 can be configured, all the way up to gaming, multimedia, and internet power house can be configured for just a couple of grand. This all depends on the user's preference.
