Retired Mini Cooper engineer Colin Mayhew and his wife -- "an analog power circuit guru" -- have worked for several years on a giant internal combustion-powered robot based on a Mini Cooper and controlled by six commodity PCs running RTLinux. Mayhew's robot incorporates many sophisticated robotic technologies, and is designed to direct traffic and repair cars.
