- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trustix Secure Linux Bugfix Advisory #2004-0002

Package name: kernel Summary: minor cleanup Date: 2004-01-15 Affected versions: Trustix 2.0

- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Package description: The kernel-source package contains the source code files for the Linux kernel. These source files are needed to build most kernel modules, since they depend on the constants defined in the source code. The source files can also be used to build a custom kernel that is better tuned to your particular hardware, if you are so inclined (and you know what you're doing).

Problem description: Minor cleanup of the kernel source package. No other kernel package is affected.

Action: We recommend that all systems with this package installed be upgraded. Please note that if you do not need the functionality provided by this package, you may want to remove it from your system.

Location: All Trustix updates are available from
