I love countdowns. The final scenes of the original "Back to the Future" and "Back to the Future III" films when Marty and Doc are racing against time to get the DeLoren up to eighty-eight miles per hour are still exciting to me. Of course, I'm just in the audience and can enjoy the dynamic tension (even knowing how it turns out) without worrying about failure.

Cisco Press has created a "countdown" book of its own. It answers the question every student of the Cisco Academy CCNA course asks as they near the end of the program: "How do I pull it all together and pass the exam?" I remember asking that question myself and the answer was six months more studying before I took the test and passed. I had to hand craft my study guide out of large pieces of butcher paper and markers and draw diagrams connecting all the concepts. Now Cisco Press and Scott Bennett have done that for you.
