Bynari, a Linux-based email server development company, has joined IBM's ISV Advantage Initiative, a program designed to provide independent software vendors (ISVs) with technical and marketing support to help meet the specific needs of small and medium business (SMB) customers.

DALLAS, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 25-03-2004 -- Bynari, a Linux-based email server development company, has joined IBM's ISV Advantage Initiative, a program designed to provide independent software vendors (ISVs) with technical and marketing support to help meet the specific needs of small and medium business (SMB) customers.

Bynari utilizes open standards while retaining full functionality at both the client and the server level. The Company's initial products are the InsightServer, Insight Connector, Insight AddressBook and the WebClient. The messaging server runs on Linux OS with the capability of connecting to Outlook clients in "corporate groupmode." Bynari products are designed to integrate with other third party mail servers and business applications. These products provide a native end-user experience for Outlook users without any retraining.

Enabling the Insight Products on IBM DB2 Universal Database will help Bynari expand into the SMB market faster and more effectively than is possible with proprietary platforms.

"Our relationship with IBM is very important to us because of the value that IBM provides. Adding IBM's middleware solutions to our line of products enhances our capabilities and our reputation with SMB customers," said Hyun Kim, President, Bynari.

"We are pleased that Bynari has joined ISV Advantage and are dedicated to IBM as a partner of choice," said Buell Duncan, general manager, ISV & Developer Relations, IBM. "Medium sized business customers are seeking open solutions tailored to meet their needs across industries, and IBM is committed to working with Bynari to deliver this."

The IBM DB2 family includes products that are designed and priced specifically for small and medium businesses -- easy to install and manage, scalable to grow with a business, rich in functionality, and based on open standards to allow integration with existing software and hardware platforms. Bynari will also work closely with IBM to expand its visibility in target vertical industries through various co-marketing and sales activities.

ISV Advantage is administered by PartnerWorld for Developers, the developer resource for IBM Business Partners. It is a worldwide program designed to help software developers reach broader markets, lower their costs of doing business, and take their products to market faster.
