Introducing Scott Ruecker

LXer Announcement: 21-Jun-2007 Scott Ruecker will begin serving as LXer's new Editor-in-Chief effective immediately.

Scott Ruecker will begin serving as LXer's new Editor-in-Chief effective immediately. We all know Scott as a long-time dedicated member of the LXer community who has been an integral part of the LXer Editorial Team. In his time at LXer, Scott has worked his way from Member to Contributing Editor to Senior Editor. Scott says, in his typical humility, that he "had the opportunity to learn from the best here at LXer". It is his continuous quest to learn and do more that has led him to become more involved with LXer and Open Source in general. Scott's motivation and hard work have been a driving force in keeping LXer at the forefront of the Linux community news scene.

For those of you who have been reading between the lines, this means that our long time Editor-in-Chief, Don Parris, will be leaving the LXer Editorial Team. Don's external interests have become ever more demanding of his time, energies, and focus. We at LXer appreciate Don's work with the LXer community and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.

As we turn to the next chapter at LXer, I am excited to be working with Scott in his new capacity as LXer's Editor-in-Chief. Scott's ideas and energy will take LXer to the next level.
