Windows vs. Linux Compared With Mixed Results

I hear this too often - Windows is easier to use than Linux. And so in light of this, being as I have used both operating systems for years, I thought I would put this to the test, the results are not going to make Windows users feel too good about this desktop choice overall, I'm afraid.

On a clean desktop machine, installing Windows is incredibly slow, painfully slow. However, it is simple to do. Just follow the prompts, eventually entering that ever-wonderful product key and soon enough, you are looking at your desktop. Provided software - not much aside from e-mail and Web browsing abilities with Internet Explorer.
