XGI gets it, VIA doesn't (at least, not yet)

XGI simply handed a copy of the sources to XFree86 and X.org instead of messing around on their own.

It's also worth noting that XGI released the source for their 2D stuff within a couple of months of going to market, but VIA and before them S3 have been in the market "forever" and never before released anything serious.

Now all I have to do is find a WestOz dealer for their cards.

Isn't XGI Sis and Trident thrown together? And isn't the XGI driver Thomas Winnishofer's sis driver that's been adapted to suit some new versions of, well, pretty much the same hardware?
