If a few things were to happen in the course of such a meeting, this could be a benefit to developers and users of both open and closed source software.

I would like to see Mr. Tiemann ask for, receive and publicly reproduce an overview of the dialog that Microsoft wishes to have. I would also like to see the entire meeting recorded and made available for all to see in text, audio and video form.

Lastly, I would like a toilet seat made of solid gold but it's just not in the cards, baby.

Call me cynical, but when I hear about Microsoft's "shared source" I hear "You share with M$, M$ shares with no one."

tuxchick - you are too cynical. What it means: you see our source, but forever more you will not be allowed to ever write or share source with anyone else. Fair enough? ;-)
