Cheap Linux laptops... that you can actually get?

I have a need for several Linux laptops. They need to be as inexpensive as possible. Wal-mart's 'Balance' line of products would be ideal. But we need them soon and Wal-mart has been out of stock on the less expensive models for a long time. Any suggestions? Thanks, Steve |

The cheap part is the killer. Yes, you can find mid to high end laptops with little trouble, but finding cheap ones is much harder. That said, I found a couple of options in the $900-$1000 range. I can vouch for the linux certified lc2000 series. Very nice and light indeed! All works great with Ubuntu Breezy including wpa-supplicant with the wireless card. |
