Part of the roadmap is Identity Interoperability.

With big competitors like Sun critical of rival capabilities, it is essential that Novell answer the competition by either showing the fallacy of the argument, or fixing the shortcoming. Sun doesn't directly criticise anyone's offerings here, but they do talk about their leadership and it implies everyone else lags.

In this situation, Sun has a very valid point - and when Novell meets the roadmap objective, the shortcoming will be fixed.

I'm making my prediction: You'll see Novell integrate Active Directory all over the place (BIND, Samba, pam) and use that as their default.
