Gnome has not killed off KDE because from a new user's stand point it's easier to learn KDE then Gnome. Well at least thats what my sample of people said that I asked. I'm converting people to Linux and I get a lot less of them being scared of something they are not use too with KDE. If Ultumix gets off the ground soon and really takes off KDE will be the way of the noob. Gnome may be great for you but not for me. I'm not saying I'm a noob. I'm saying I don't like Gnome either. I'm not a Mac Guy. It's kind of like asking that. Are you a Gnome/Mac guy or a Windows/KDE guy? It really boils down to that. But of course I could just be having one of my mental spasms again. |
