Yes, it does labels and very well. But its what it does for barcode generation that is amazing. This generates bar codes in every different kind of code you'll ever need, puts prices vertically on the labels if you want, positions them on the label set so you can print them on a laser printer on a tear off sheet. Its a really great package. I have used it in a local charity for a full season and it was the difference between taking the shop to bar coding, and not. Cannot recommend this too highly. It just works. Spend a half hour setting it up, and anyone who is moderately computer literate can then generate codes and print labels unaided. One of the unsung glories of KDE and OSS!

In addition to formatting your codes for labels, it will also generate jpegs etc, but this is by its nature not robust to editing in graphics packages. You really need to do the sizing in the layout and printing part, exporting them as graphics is not very useful. At least, unless you are using them at the exact size they are generated at.

We also got almost instant support from the author on the one occasion during startup when we needed it.
