I was at the Embedded Systems Conference last year in San Jose and Avnet had a sample board running IP radio at their kiosk. I later attended the seminar given by Avnet and Cirrus Logic to promote the new chipset/eval board. This appears to be a consumer manifestation of that very system. The LCD and dial-knob are all similarly placed. I'd almost bet this is developed off that eval board one way or another.

Kinda pricey for end users, and the legalities of IP radio aren't even close to being sorted out yet. It's still fun stuff, especially the back end.
