OK, tc, plug your toaster into USB and see what happens. I bet your bread doesn't get any browner.

(I wonder who will get the reference.)

jdixon: Yeah, I had some thoughts not appropriate for a family friendly website.

Hmmm. Might have to examine that toast carefully.

(Springsteen warms up in the background, then the E-streeter get going)

Porn in the USB! Porn in the USB!

And, while we're at it, a moment of silence for the original Video Toaster, which, with an Amiga 2000 and a sync generator, could nearly match $100,000 studio equimpant for 5% of the price.

Caitlyn:

Everybody knows you should put the toast in your USB-connected CD Rom drive and use CD Roaster. I advise you use 42 speed to make sure your toast is brown before dark. You can actually use double layer to toast on both sides. Use CD R+ drive to heat the toast + cheese. If you smell the toast is ready - if your nose is not good use the newest networksniffer - use '/usr/bin/eject' and make sure your shins aren't in the firing line of the CDROM drive; because you probably won't like brown cheese on your shins.

There it is, your USB-toaster! If you don't want brown toast, wait till USB3.0 comes and you can connect Blue-Way toaster to Tux to make instant blue toasts. If you want purple, mix red and blue by using China Blue HD.

Aha, good 'ol times. Twix was still called Raiders, the 'ln' command had just been invented, Michael Jackson had only 1 face and dinosaurs were still walking in the backyard. So that's where Dino comes from!

hkw,

Hate to disabuse you of this impression:

That's what I thought too.

His name is closer to a Rat Pack singer that spilled more alcohol in a week than most consume in a life time, or so it is told. Dean Martin

Well, at least our beloved Dino was looking in the backyard when thinking of a name for LXer. Or on LSD, ehr, I mean USB, that's not known to mankind I suggest.

Now if anyone could tell me what YBT means, I'd be delighted.

Bully teabag or billy teabag? I still don't know what ta meant by billy in the other thread but I don't think I want her making my tea.

Carla still didn't explain if plugging the toaster into a USB hub affects her USB display. I would think the toaster pulls a lot of power and generates a lot of heat. Might it not toast other USB devices?
