Is it possible to mirror a X display across two different graphics cards? Namely I am looking into an external display adapter that there support says only works as a separate X display - http://support.plugable.com/plugable/topics/mirror_display_o...

Ideas/input?

I think AMD Catalyst Eyefinity does this sort of thing only with multiple Radeons of course but the catalyst drivers on linux are complete crap so your mileage may vary. Nvidia has something similar for their own cards which you can use in sli or separate mode the Nvidia drivers are far better.

I could be totally wrong though been a while since i mucked around with graphics cards.

I'm looking to do something a little bit less standard than that even. I've got on intel GPU internal and an external display adapter.

They both have FOSS drivers in the kernel though so I'm hoping I might be able to figure something out...
