I have always thought anything done by U was horribly ugly. that's why I have always been partial to KDE. Yeah, the transition to 4.X was rough but we got over it and KDE seems to be more customizable than Gnome X. I stated in Mandrake and migrated to PCLinusOS when Tex started it up. |

To be honest, if "beauty" -- whatever that may be -- is your overriding concern for a desktop, it seems you should be using Enlightenment instead of the more common desktops. |

When Ubuntu was a more polished GNOME, that was one thing. I'll be looking at Unity in about a year to a year and a half from now. Same with GNOME 3. |
